Cranbrook Ward is part of the Ilford South Constituency (Conservative Candidate Toby Boutle) and is one of 21 wards in Redbridge. Cranbrook has two Conservative Councilors:  Cllr Mahboob Chaudhury; Cllr Ashok Kumar; .

Elected in July 2008, Councillor Chaudhary is a family man who has lived in Cranbrook for over 17 years. He continues to work hard to improve the lives of those living in Cranbrook ward. His achievements include actively supporting the restoration of Valentines Mansion and Park. Mahboob believes in giving back to the community and is an active member of nine committees.  Ashok has lived in Redbridge for over 30 years. A governor of Valentines High, Ilford County High and Highlands Primary Schools, he has actively supported the restoration of Valentines Mansion and Valentines Park. Ashok has served the community through charity work for many years and since 2002 when elected a Councillor for Cranbrook and served as Mayor of Redbridge in 2006-7.
